Fatimid Library Safeguards Over 1,300 Rare Manuscripts and Artworks of Islamic Heritage

The Fatimid Library of the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (PBUH) in Qom houses one of the richest collections of written and artistic heritage in the Islamic world, preserving 1,336 rare and valuable works.

Hawzah News Agency- The collection — known as the library’s “treasure trove” — includes centuries-old manuscripts, rare books, maps, calligraphy works, posters, and unique artistic prints, each holding exceptional historical and cultural significance.

Many of these works exist exclusively in this archive due to their rarity, age, and distinctive craftsmanship. As a result, their preservation is conducted under strict conservation protocols to safeguard their integrity for future generations.

Access to the original materials is limited and available only through formal research requests, ensuring both protection and scholarly use.

Serving as a vital center for preserving Islamic and Iranian written heritage, the Fatimid Library’s treasure trove continues to contribute to academic research and cultural continuity at the Holy Shrine of Our Lady of Dignity.
